Fast And Furious 8 set to cast sole female villain... as Charlize Theron is one of the names being considered

Vin Diesel recently confirmed that there will be three more Fast And Furious films for a total of 10.

And though the next of the franchise is still being written, it looks like there could be a groundbreaking change.

Fast 8 will feature a sole female villain according to a Tuesday report from Deadline.

Sources for the online magazine claim that director F. Gary Gray and screenwriter Chris Morgan have included a fierce female villain into the saga.

Not only would this be a significant move for the franchise and action genre in general, but they are hoping that prominent actress will fill the role.

According to Deadline's insiders, Charlize Theron is the woman that they have their eyes on to play the pioneering villain.

As she is coming off a critically-acclaimed performance in thrill ride Mad Max: Fury Road, no doubt she would be a perfect fit.

It doesn't seem to be out of the realm of possibility for the A-lister as she apparently has a pretty open schedule around the time of production for the latest Fast And Furious flick.

This comes just a week after Vin Diesel confirmed the highly-popular action franchise will run for 10 films total.
