Talented teen dancing queen Maddie Ziegler has added another feather to her cap after starring in a dynamic video for dancewear brand Capezio.

The 13-year-old, who rose to fame as one of the young stars of hit Lifetime series Dance Moms, takes center stage in the new video ad, which is accompanied by a series of striking print images, and sees her playing the role of the black sheep among a group of well-behaved - but rather boring - ballerinas.

Aimed at urging young people to feel more free about expressing themselves, the video sees Maddie doing what she does best - dancing her socks off and standing out from the crowd at the same time.

The film begins in a dance class, with Maddie strutting her way into a room full of ballerinas clad in perfect white leotards, while she wears a dark jazz ensemble; while the others warm up, Maddie soon breaks away from the group and launches into her own beautiful modern solo.

The other dancers first watch the talented teen in shock and awe, before they also decide to forgo the ballet barre and join in on her expressive dance.

Capezio first tapped Maddie to be the face of their brand back in May of last year and has starred in print ads and videos for them ever since.

The dancewear giant had this to say about the latest collaboration with Ziegler: 'An affirmation of individual self-expression through dance and movement, the film acknowledges the grace and heritage of ballet, while inspiring young dancers to find their own beat.'

Fans of the pint-sized dancing prodigy will no doubt know that she is no stranger from standing out from the pack.

Throughout her stint on Dance Moms, which is currently in its sixth season, the teen has often been picked on by the other girls and their mothers because she is frequently singled out as the favorite by their instructor Abby.

The Pittsburgh native has set herself even further apart from her cast mates by starring in a trio of music videos for Australian singer Sia, guest starring in several TV shows, including ABC Family hit Pretty Little Liars, and gracing the pages of many a fashion magazine.

Rumors have been circulating for months that Maddie is set to leave Dance Moms at the end of its current season in favor of pursuing opportunities away from reality TV.

At the end of last year, she got the opportunity of a lifetime - a role in upcoming movie The Book of Henry, in which she will star alongside Hollywood heavy-hitters Naomi Watts and Sarah Silverman.

The teen actually skipped out on several days of filming for Dance Moms in order to tape her scenes for the hotly-anticipated movie, which is due for release later this year.

Continuing her high streak, Maddie also recently won DailyMail.com's Seriously Popular Award at the People's Choice Awards, beating out the likes of Cara Delevingne and Kylie Jenner.

After winning the award, the young dancer said ‘ I did not think this would happen, this is incredible! It’s very heavy, but it’s awesome.’
