'She is out of hand': Kelly Clarkson jokes about difficult writing partner... before revealing she's penned a children's book with River Rose

She's been hinting for the past few says about a new mystery project she is working on.

And on Tuesday Kelly Clarkson revealed it is a children's book - but not before 'slamming' her one-year-old writing partner in a playful video.

Announcing River Rose And The Magical Lullaby, the 33-year-old explained how she began penning little stories about her daughter as she toured the world.

'It was a cool thing to be on a plane with my daughter, we were on trips to the UK and Asia and Australia, all these amazing places that she was just too little to remember basically,' she revealed in a Twitter video.

'So i started writing down these fun stories, of like when she went to Australia and got to hang out with some kangaroos, and put little pictures with it... that was the initial idea, and the little stories ended up turning into a book for each place we kind of went.

'I guess my hope is for little kids to read River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and be inspired by it and know they can achieve anything and still dream big and make big things happen.'

But when the clip ends, a behind the scenes video reveals the American Idol winner's working relationship with her little muse wasn't as picturesque as all that.

'Okay y'all, she is out of hand,' she confides to the camera. 'I'm pulling this train all by myself. She's sleeping on the job. She's eating all the time, She's always hungry.'

When Kelly asks he daughter if she wants to work for a living, the 20-month-old shuts her down with a clear 'no.'

'I mean you try and talk to her and she just shuts the door - right in your face,' the singer laments, showing footage of the toddler doing just that.
