Julianne Hough impressed the critics with her singing and dancing in Fox's Grease: Live.

The 27-year-old star continued to knock them out as she emerged for a casual lunch with a friend in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

Julianne showed off her amazingly toned figure - and especially those dance-honed abs - in a blue pinstriped, midriff-baring top and low-slung, blue linen drawstring trousers.

The blonde stunner wore her hair piled into a knot at the back of her head, and stylish dark shades covered her eyes.

Her huge smile was evident, however, while strolling down the sidewalk in black patent leather loafers.

Julianne had thrown on a black leather backpack that was practical and chic.

The Dancing With The Stars pro dancer-turned-judge - who is engaged to hockey player Brooks Laich - appeared to be having a girls' day out.

Julianne was also among a few famous female friends as she hit up the DirecTV Super Saturday Night co-hosted by Mark Cuban's AXS TV in San Francisco, California.

On that occasion, Julianne was a sight to behold in a white strapless jumpsuit and matching blazer with her hair styled wavy and parted slightly to the side.

The Safe Haven star is on a roll professionally after she garnered positive reviews from fans and critics for her role as Sandy in Grease: Live, which aired January 31 on Fox.

It was risky business re-creating the beloved 1978 movie that starred John Travolta as Danny Zuko and Olivia Newton-John as Sandy.

The plot of Grease: Live was wonderfully familiar, how the good girl and the greaser fall in love over the summer and rekindle their romance after discovering they both attend the same high school come fall.

There were some technical glitches including a sound interruption during the school dance and static noise interfering with Julianne's performance of Hopelessly Devoted To You.

But all in all, Grease: Live went very well for Julianne and everyone else involved including co-stars Vanessa Hudgens (Betty Rizzo), Aaron Tveit (Danny Zuko) and Carly Rae Jepsen (Pinky).
