She is in the midst of an explosive legal battle with her rapper ex Future.  

Yet Ciara ensured she wasn't being held down by her woes as she and her NFL boyfriend Russell Wilson put on a united and loved up front at the basketball in New York on Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old singer looked sensational in a skin-tight black the Washington Wizards play the New York Knicks.

Showing off her incredible dancer's curves, the Like You hitmaker's tight polo neck clung to her figure while she tucked the hem into her tight black jeans.

A pair of sexy, slouch Christian Louboutin boots completed the look, adding height to her statuesque frame while she later pulled on a tan leather jacket which added a smart edge to the look.

She kept her make-up natural for the trip while her blonde tresses were styled into loose, stunning curls.

The couple could not have looked happier and more in love in an Instagram snap which the singer posted late Tuesday which she simply captioned with a smiling emoji.

She also uploaded a picture with LaLa Anthon, whose husband Carmelo is on the Knicks, where the duo looked stunning as they beamed into the camera.

Their basketball date comes just a day after it was revealed the pop star is suing her rapper ex for libel, slander and defamation.

As news of the court case reaches fever pitch, sources close to the rapper tell TMZ that he is stunned at the case as she has reportedly slammed him too - pointing to lyrics on her 2015 platinum selling hit, I Bet - which he claims he could have sued her for.

On Monday, thejasminebrand.com revealed the singer was demanding $15million in damages from the father of her son, who is also named Future. 

The singer filed the lawsuit against Future in Georgia Court on January 21, accusing him of making 'several false and defamatory statements' in the press over the past year about her and her ability to be a mother to their son Future Jr.

The 1, 2 Step hitmaker said the rapper also attacked her relationship with her new boyfriend.

Court documents obtained by the site claim that the 32-year-old 'purposefully published lies about her on his Twitter account, social media and other interviews to destroy her reputation as a good mother, to diminish her brand and to impair her professional career in the entertainment industry'.

What is more, Ciara claims her ex did so in order to create publicity for himself ahead of the release of his upcoming album and tour. 

This included his now notorious rant on radio station 105.1's Breakfast Club last July after Future saw a picture of the American footballer pushing his son's stroller.

The Jumpman rapper blasted his ex's new boyfriend: 'Of course I wouldn't want someone pushing my son.

'Like, that's the number one rule. Like, if I was a kid and my mom had a dude pushing me, I would've jumped out of the stroller and slapped the s**t out of [him] you never do that in our community. You don't even bring a man around your son.

'You know this dude for a few months and you're bringing him around your kid?' Who does that? Nobody does that,' he continued, 'She probably set him [Russell] up. You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts.'

Ciara also pointed out several other interviews in the suit, as well as highlighting the rapper's Twitter rant in January when Future said: 'This b***h got control problems ... I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future ... the f***ery for 15k a month.' 

In addition to the cash settlement, the 30-year-old wants all his nasty tweets deleted, and for the judge to stop him from commenting about private family matters regarding their son in the future.

The star is also seeking $250,000 in legal costs, the website reports. 

The two are still in a custody battle and Ciara also said that she has stepped up to the parental plate but says she was forced to seek child support to ensure Future sees baby Future - who is two in May.

The singer also claims she goes out of her way to make sure her ex sees their son, detailing 19 visitations, some of which span several days, which have occurred since December 2014.

Ciara and Future started dating in January 2013 - just a month after the birth of his third child from a previous relationship - before getting engaged nine months later.

The singer and Future called off their engagement in August 2014, just months after welcoming Future Jnr. into the world.

Future also has a 13-year-old son with model Jessica Smith, a six-year-old daughter with India J and a son Prince, three, with model and entrepreneur Brittni Mealy.

Ciara and Russell then started dating in 2015 and have spoken out publicly about their decision to remain chaste until their wedding night.
