The Palazzo Italia (pictured) in Milan, Italy, has been constructed using a new type of cement that uses sunlight to catalyse a chemical reaction that converts pollutants into salts. Stan Kroenke, who owns the Los Angeles Rams and is also the largest shareholder in the English football club Arsenal, closed a deal to buy the 535,000-acre W.T. Waggoner Ranch in Texas. Kroenke is married to Ann Walton whose father Bud was an early business partner in Walmart, which was founded by his brother Sam. The daily school run at this orangutan orphanage in Indonesia is slightly different to the average - and not just because it involves a dozen of apes. The young apes have all been orphaned and as a result are having to teach themselves the skills their mothers would have taught them in the wild. To help them learn, International Animal Rescue, a charity in Keptang, Indonesia, have built the forest school where the youngsters can climb and swing from the ropes and barrels. Each day, the orangutans are taken in wheelbarrows from their sanctuary to 'jungle school'.

The newly beautified car, which was discovered in a barn in Cernay, France, in late 2013 will go on display at the London Classic Car Show after experts spent a challenging 2,956 hours restoring it. The elephant had wandered from the Baikunthapur forest, crossing roads and a small river before entering the town of Siliguri in West Bengal state.
