TV star Noel Edmonds has revealed he is being terrorised by an online stalker.

He revealed his ordeal for the first time during an exchange of tweets with One Show presenter Alex Jones who earlier this week was granted a restraining order against her stalker.

It is understood Edmonds has been bombarded with a series of ‘threatening’ emails and tweets and his e-stalker is also claiming she wants to ‘expose their relationship’.

Edmonds has now sought the help of company Web Sherriff which offers to help celebrities deal with online trolls and stalkers as he is ‘reluctant to bother the police’ with the issue.

A source close to the Deal or No Deal presenter said: ‘Noel has been bombarded with unpleasant tweets, accusing him of all sorts of things and claiming she is going to expose their relationship.

‘This has been going on for weeks.’

Edmonds, 67, tweeted his support to the BBC’s Miss Jones, earlier in the week, after she saw an obsessed fan handed a restraining order for bombarding her with declarations of love.

He told her: ‘Total support and sympathy Alex. I’ve got one now but am reluctant to bother the police #priceoffame.’

Miss Jones, who suffered a 17-month harassment campaign, carried out by Shane Goldsmith, responded: ‘Thanks Noel. So glad that it’s sorted now. I hope your situation can be fixed too.’

He later reassured her: ‘Thank you. I appreciate your kind thoughts. I’m seeking prof advice [sic].’

Discussing the issue with a friend, Edmonds admitted he had decided to go public with the issue because of the female stalkers threats.

He told the friend: ‘Regrettably true. Wouldn’t joke with Alex Jones on this. Web Sheriff dealing.

‘I went public because she’s threatening on emails and tweets to go to the media about ‘our relationship’. Very unpleasant.’

Edmonds is currently married to Liz Davies, a make-up artist who he met on Deal or No Deal. The pair married in July 2009 after meeting in 2006.

His first marriage to Gillian Slater lasted 11 years. He then went on to marry Helen Soby and the couple had four children together before they split in 2004, after an 18-year marriage.

He then declared that he wasn’t ‘settling down material,’ but decided to walk down the aisle again after meeting Miss Davies.
