'That interview in the Diary Room was directly after I was told and I don’t appreciate being held up and being forced to share my grief with their camera. I found it rude, intrusive and in extremely poor taste.'
Despite her anger the 66-year old, who was married to the rock icon for a decade prior to their divorce in 1980, admits she doesn't directly hold anyone to blame.
'That’s the format of their show,' she added. 'Once Channel 5 were told they needed to go ahead and tell me, for some reason there was a public outcry that I should be told, they just went ahead and did it in their normal way.
