She is no stranger when it comes to standing in the spotlight.

So proving to be a seasoned vet, Lindsay Lohan looked great on Thursday evening at the opening night of Matthew Perry's turn in West End play The End of Longing.

Posing for pictures at London's Playhouse Theatre, the 26-year-old looked chic in black while fellow actress Emily Atack was equally elegant in blue.

With her hands in her pockets, Lohan smiled as she modelled the shirt dress which featured gold button detail and came complete with a satin bow tie.

Lindsay styled her fiery locks down in a centre parting fashioned in loose curls as she stood tall in heeled ankle boots.

A lashing of scarlet lipstick and a rose gold wristwatch finished the Mean Girls star's ensemble.

Meanwhile, Emily was demure in a navy blue off the shoulder jumpsuit and nude stilettos.

Looking forward to her night out, Atack tweeted prior to the red carpet event: 'Really looking forward to seeing @EndOfLonging tonight, written by and starring @MatthewPerry - exciting!'

Man of the evening, Matthew Perry was also in tow alongside his co-stars Jennifer Mudge, Christina Cole and Lloyd Owen to celebrate the momentous occasion.

The End of Longing sees Perry, 46, make his debut as a playwright with the dark comedy.

In an interview with Reuters, Perry said of the writing process: 'I just wanted to write something by myself because I'd never written anything by myself before.

'So these monologues came out; that was the first thing that came out, I realised I was writing a play, and I like the theme of people trying to improve themselves'.

The highly anticipated play follows the exploits of four individuals in their early 40s who are searching for meaning in their lives.

After a night of partying in downtown Los Angeles, the individuals are forever intertwined and forced to examine their sometimes difficult relationships.

The End of Longing is set to run at London's Playhouse Theatre until May 14.
