Thief grabs money from old man sat on the back of a bus in Wandsworth

The 65-year-old was on a 295 bus in Wandsworth when the attack happened. He was sitting at the back of the bus when the suspect went over to him and swiped the money. Police said the man had visited his bank earlier in the day to withdraw a 'large amount of cash'. The attacker boarded the bus at the same stop as the victim and carried out the robbery a short time later. In the moments after the attack the robber managed to get off the vehicle in Plough Road as the victim raced after him. The suspect is described as a black man, about 6ft tall and unshaven. Police released CCTV video today in an appeal for witnesses. The attack happened around 10.35am on October 25. Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise this man.
