'Bondee beach!' Margot Robbie struggles to lip read Jimmy Fallon's poor pronunciation of Bondi beach as she takes on the whisper challenge on The Tonight Show

She's a proud Australian so it was perhaps no surprise that talk show host Jimmy Fallon would test her on one of her country's most iconic landmarks.

So, on went the headphones as Margot Robbie was told to decipher The Tonight Show presenter's pronunciation of Sydney's Bondi beach on Tuesday.

However, when the 41-year-old Jimmy failed to trot off the city beach name correctly, repeatedly calling it Bondee beach, the 25-year-old Wolf Of Wall Street star was left decidedly baffled.

Wide-eyed and agog, Margot attempted to say what she thought the presenter was saying uttering all manner of words including a buzzing beach, a bud beach, banana beach and butter beach.

Taking on the whisper challenge on The Tonight Show she burst into fits of laughter before finally asking while wearing a pair of headphones 'was I shouting?'

Promoting her new Tina Fey comedy flick Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, the former Neighbours star also sparked engagement rumours by flashing a silver band on her ring finger.

Wrap it up with a bow in Margot's Cushnie et Ochs crop top

After a glamorous showing on the red carpet at the Oscar Awards where she donned a gold snakeskin dress by Tom Ford, Margot Robbie continued her style streak on the Tonight Show.

The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot star wore an ensemble that was pulled from Cushnie et Och's Spring 2016 collection and we're in love with her crop top and wide legged pants.

Margot showed plenty of skin in this strapless number with it's origami-folded bow. But she balanced it with the high-waisted bottoms and and a pair of Gianvito Rossi PVC pumps (buy below).

Her top is up for grabs at Net-A-Porter for less than $600. Click right to buy it now.

Speaking of the role, Margot told Cinema Blend it was tough to try to embody the fear of someone reporting from a conflict zone.

'It is difficult, having no exposure to what it would be like to be a war correspondent.

'I did like a lot of reading about things that we weren’t actually talking about in the script necessarily, but you know, the things that would happen to reporters over there, just so that I could recognise the stakes that we would technically be in and try and bring that fear to a scene.

'So I just tried to read about it, so I could kind of get a grasp of the stakes.'
