Heidi Montag began her bout of family therapy getting wasted and arguing with anyone she could find.

The 29-year-old broke down in tears within the first few minutes of the premiere of The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition on Tuesday night.

The former Hills star even got into a fight with the show's therapist Dr. Debbie Magids.

But things only got worse as she later vomited all over the shared house's floor after getting drunk and even spit out her food during group dinner.

Her mother Darlene Egelhoff, however, was there to hold her daughter's hair as she vomited throughout the whole night.

The vomit was all over the floor in the hallway before she spent her first evening above the toilet.

Her mother then revealed that she believes Heidi might have a real drinking problem.

The two later had an argument where Darlene firmly said: 'I can't talk to you when you're drunk!'

Later on the Lifetime show, the reality star cried while recounting her mother's criticism following her plastic surgery spree.

'It honestly felt like you ripped my heart out of my soul when I needed you so badly,' Heidi sobbed to her mother Darlene.

Her mother then revealed that she believes Heidi might have a real drinking problem

Heidi famously underwent 10 cosmetic surgery procedures in one day in 2010 while she was starring in MTV's reality series The Hills.

Her mother during season six of The Hills shared her displeasure over her daughter's physical transformation that took place after her 2009 marriage to reality show villain Spencer Pratt.

'I felt that you were much more beautiful before,' Darlene flatly told her.

The stinging rebuke contributed to a strained relationship between Heidi and her mother that lasted for years.

Darlene apologized for her reaction.

'I was just desperate to communicate with her in any way, and I just thought that was the only way I could do it,' she said during a therapy session with Heidi.

'I'm so sorry. And I don't want you to be responsible for my feelings. This is a good, healthy pain that I'm feeling. This is part of the process because we haven't addressed this,' Darlene added.

The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition also featured Courtney Stodden and her mother Krista Stodden as well as Kim Richards and her daughter Kimberly Jackson.

The other mother/daughter pairings include Bad Girls Club's Natalie Nunn and her mom, Karen; Kevine Federline's ex Shar Jackson and her daughter, Cassie; and Hollywood Exes' Jessica Canseco and her daughter Josie.

The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition premiered on Tuesday on Lifetime.
