'I wish I wasn't, but I'm done with babies': Nicole Kidman, 48, concedes no more children as she describes daughters Faith and Sunday 'a joy'

She has reiterated countless times that family invariably comes before her glittering career and that she would extend her brood in a heartbeat.

But Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, the proud mother-of-four children, including two adopted teenagers, has conceded that, at 48, she has drawn the line under having more children.

The Eyes Wide Shut star, who shares daughters Faith Margaret, seven, and Sunday Rose, five, with husband singer Keith Urban, told Marie Claire: 'I wish I wasn't but, yes, I'm done with babies'.

The three-times Oscar nominee says she still harbours a desire for a fifth child but is instead focusing on the family she has saying: 'it's a great time for us...'

'We’ve got these two glorious children who are five and seven and such a joy to be around.'

The Australian actress, who also has two children Isabella, 23, and Connor, 21, from her marriage to Tom Cruise, has previously told Sunday Style magazine she would be 'down on my knees begging for another one, but it's not going to happen.'

In January 2011 Nicole revealed daughter Faith Margaret was born to a surrogate at The Women's Hospital at Centennial Medical Center in Kidman and Urban's adopted hometown of Nashville.

She completed the actress's family and today the Sydney-based star counts herself lucky to have a big family.

Espousing her love for her 48-year-old New Zealand-born husband, she tells Marie Claire she cannot bear to be apart from him for one day.

'I just think we were meant to be together, it's that simple, We are just really into each other and into our kids and we're just a family,' she says.

The actress has long stressed the importance of home life and maintains that if there was a choice between her career and her family, Keith and their children win, hands down.

'The joy I get from us as a family far outweighs any joy in any other area in my life so far,' she previously said.

Steal the limelight in an embellished dress like Nicole

Nicole Kidman is always poised and elegant on the red carpet and when she made an appearance at the WhatsOnStage Theatre Awards in London there was no exception. The veteran actress donned a dress that was pulled from Gucci's Pre-Fall 2016 collection.

The stunning floor skimming gown was embellished with a floral design and a sequined bird motif. A sparkly green ribbon defined the Australian beauty's tiny waist and the pleated skirt added extra dramatic effect.

The flora and fauna theme carried through the Pre-Autumn line with pieces decorated with butterflies, ladybugs, strawberries and trees. With the Oscars just around the corner, we can't wait to see who will pop up in Gucci next.

Indeed the star previously told how one of the things she loves most about returning to Australia is that her biological daughters get to spend time with their grandparents.

However, in 2014, she lost her father Tony after he suffered a heart attack and Keith's father Robert rescinded his battle with cancer in December.

Nicole says their respective losses have brought her closer to Keith and their love for each other helped pull them through their heartaches.
