Style tips from supermodels: What we can learn from people who wear clothes for a living

Yes, they have bodies that look good in pretty much everything, but it's clear that today's young supermodels have learned a thing or two about fashion from the stylists and designers that surround them.
From bomber jackets to extra-long denim, today's fashion 'it' girls share a certain aesthetic when it comes to style.
Here, we quiz industry experts on the dress code that defines top models' down-time style.
It's all about athleisure
No change of clothes required for SoulCycle - activewear has become a staple of models' everyday wardrobe, spearheading the 'athleisure' trend.
'Models like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have given the athleisure trend a sleek spin by pairing their sporty separates with chic garments and accessories,' says Dailymail.com fashion editor Pandora Amoratis.
Nike sneakers, Adidas tees, Lululemon leggings and Alpha Industries bomber jackets are the order of the day, she reveals.

Crop it like it's hot
In short, if you've got perfect abs, flaunt them, because crop tops are most definitely back.
Everyone from Emily Ratajkowski to Behati Prinsloo rocks the crop top in their own distinct way.
The belly-baring garment also complements the athleisure trend, adds Pandora: 'Models' go-to daytime combo of a crop top paired with billowy bottoms reveals just a sliver of toned tummy, keeping their off-duty look classy.'

A very tall story
No big shock here, though jeans - especially this season's flares - can be surprisingly difficult to find if you're supermodel tall.
'Denim is a staple for a model and can take them through castings in the day and events in the evening,' says stylist Manny Ezugwu, who works with models including Lily Donaldson, Toni Garrn, Jourdan Dunn and Lottie Moss.
Seventies style: Australian supermodel Jessica Hart (left) and Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio (right) are both regularly seen in flares when off-duty
The bell-bottom revival: Frame Denim, Le High Flare Jeans, $209, Bloomingdale's (left); McGuire Majorelle flares, $209, Bloomingdale's (center) Maria flare, $228, J Brand (right)
'Frame Denim is always the go-to brand for models as they have an extra-long length fit,' he reveals.
'Karlie Kloss' range with Frame was a hit among the supermodel set as it offered loads of key styles, including flares, with an extra-long leg that actually comes to the floor when wearing heels.'
Frame caters to those of us who aren't super-tall too, while J Brand and McGuire styles are also on the money.
If the cap fits...
Exhausted after a long flight? Got undereye circles from fashion week? That's where the fashion baseball cap comes in.
A cut above the average cap, these come in varied fabrics like cashmere, denim and leather, giving them real style cred.
Keep it plain like Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin, pictured below, or have some fun with pom-pom and cat-eared versions.

Mirror, Mirror
If you're trying to hide your fatigue, sunglasses are also an essential - but not just any shades. Colorful, mirrored lenses are de rigueur for the likes of Elsa Hosk and Gigi Hadid.
The current must-have brands include Illesteva and Krewe du Optic.
Of course, you'll have to work on your selfie game if you decide to try this trend - there's nothing less cool than the reflection of your smartphone marring your perfect shot.

Cover up in camel
There's something about a camel wool or cashmere coat that looks seriously expensive. No wonder Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Irina Shayk wear them so much.
Indeed, says Lauren Stevenson of Aisle 8 fashion PR, 'when it comes to winter outerwear, models are the experts. Spending hours on outdoor sets means warm coats are always a necessity.'
Luckily, it's become a staple of many brands' collections. Burberry is always a classic choice; head to Zara or Ted Baker for more inexpensive alternatives.

The fluff factor
Nothing adds instant glam to an outfit like fur, and models know this all too well.
Kendall Jenner has been carrying her Givenchy Nightingale bag everywhere lately, while fuzzy shearling bombers and coats have been keeping the style set toasty warm this winter.
Try a nod to the trend with a scarf, keychain or earmuffs, or go bold with a statement coat.
And if your fluff starts to shed, Lauren Stevenson has a top tip: 'To stop fur and angora from molting onto your black jeans or knits lightly spray with hair spray.'
