Pyjama-clad Dannii Minogue recreates childhood memory of singing into a hairbrush with sister Kylie in campaign against domestic violence

Dannii Mingoue is using her considerable star power to back a campaign to end domestic violence and promote gender equality in Australia.

Promoting the #bepartofthechange initiative in conjunction with Mimco and Our Watch in the April issue of Marie Claire, the pop star poses at a pyjama party with a group of young girls.

Dressed in floral-print sleepwear, the 44-year-old is seen using a hairbrush as a microphone for a glossy photoshoot that recreates one of her childhood memories.

Dannii told the publication: 'My fondest childhood memory would be mucking around with my brother and sister, singing into a hairbrush and pretending to be Olivia Newton-John in Grease.

'I think its important to get in early with education to stop the cycle of domestic violence because children are our future and they're going to be the people leading this country,' she added.

In a room decked out in floor-to-ceiling in pink, the singer is seen seated on the carpet as she belts out a tune for her visibly excited audience.

Her brunette hair is styled in loose waves and she wears a pink bow headband to add a touch of girliness.

Dressed in a pale pink tutu, leotard and tights, the former Miss Universe Australia leans against a bar in the studio as her students strike a pose.

Speaking out on the matter, 24-year-old Jesinta told the publication that change begins with education.

'No child is born abusive or violent; this type of behaviour is learnt.

'It really does start with what they see in the home or playground, and how they see men and women interacting,' she explained.

Former Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe and Sunrise presenter Edwina Bartholomew are also supporters of the campaign.
