Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby hits the beach sporting a large bandage after burning her thigh with hair straighteners

The unfortunate result of her recent trip to a Sydney hospital was evident on Wednesday afternoon as Charlotte Crosby stepped out with boyfriend Gary 'Gaz' Beadle.

Sporting a large bandage on her inner thigh, Charlotte was hard to miss during an appearance at the coastal city's picturesque Tamarama Beach.

As summer temperatures continue to soar the Geordie Shore star was topping up her tan following a trip to A&E last week, where she was treated after burning her leg with a pair of hair straighteners.

Despite the painful accident, Charlotte, 25, was in typically high spirits as she strolled close to the shoreline in a breezy black playsuit.

In keeping with her low key look the British TV personality opted for minimal make-up on the day, while her long brunette locks were casually maintained with a simple centre parting.

Perhaps with her injury in mind Charlotte wisely opted to stay out of the water, choosing instead to idle on the beach while boyfriend Gary, 27, indulged himself in the cool surf.

The bubbly star later tweeted about their outing, telling her 2.7 million Twitter followers: 'What a bloody lovely day.'

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia earlier this month Charlotte revealed that things were finally back on track for the pair and she admitted: 'We're getting on very well.'

It appears that after five years of being on and off, countless arguments and numerous other partners Charlotte believes the pair have finally grown up.

She said: 'It was always just kinda of a sex thing, although I obviously wanted it to be more and then we’ve grown up so much now that – I can’t even explain it but something is different now, something is really different – I think we’ve both matured.'

Charlotte had previously documented her visit to a local hospital in a snap shared across social media after burning her thigh with hair straighteners, telling fans: 'I just spent two and a half hours in accident and emergency in tears. I need a drink.'

She added: 'I’m hungover, hurt and needy. Someone wrap me up in a quilt like a burrito and give me love.'
