Is Kylie Jenner keen to leave the Kardashian name behind? Teen admits to 'moving away from the Ks slowly but surely' as she names first new lipstick WITHOUT the family initial

  • The 18-year-old's new lip kit color, called '22', went on sale Tuesday at 3pm
  • It sold out within seven minutes, as did restocks of four previous shades
  • Kylie, whose lucky number is 22, said the sales of the burnt orange hue were record-setting for her brand

Once again, Kylie Jenner's latest lip kit has sold out in mere minutes — but the story behind this new hue is a bit different, and potentially far more important, than that of her previous make-up must-haves.

While past shades have been given names like Koko K, named after her older sister Khloe, Candy K, Posie K, and Dolce K, her latest color — a vibrant burnt orange — is simply named '22', with no signature letter 'K' tacked on to the end.

And just as they pounced to purchase the product, fans also jumped to ask Kylie just why she switched things up this time around, and the obliging 18-year-old reality star responded somewhat cryptically, suggesting that she is using the hype surrounding her beauty brand to finally break away from her family's reality fame, in the same way that her model sister Kendall, 20, has tried to do of late.

'Moving on from the Ks slowly but surely,' she wrote on Twitter this weekend after a fan joked that she was surprised that Kylie Cosmetics wasn't actually called Kylie Kosmetics — just as her big sisters' fashion line for Sears was named Kardashian Kollection.

With her own personal brand becoming more successful, Kylie may be following in her sister Kendall's footsteps by distancing herself from all things Kardashian — particularly because she is, of course, a Jenner.

When Kendall started modeling seriously, she also put some space between herself and her sisters, minimizing her involvement with Keeping Up with the Kardashians and asserting herself as a model, not a reality star.

But even the lack of K-themed branding didn't stop the new $29 kit, which includes a matte liquid lipstick and a matching lipliner pencil, from being a major hit with fans.

Though it's unknown how many units of the lip kit were actually produced, the ones that were available to buy sold out in about seven minutes after buying went live on the site at 3pm on Tuesday, which Kylie called 'another record setting day'.

Restocks of four other shades — dusty, mauve pink Posie K, pale, pinky nude KoKo K, medium beige nude Dolce K, and soft, warm nude Candy K — also sold out.

Though previous lip kid shades have mostly been named after important figures in her life — KoKo after her sister Khloe, Mary Jo after her grandmother, Dolce after her childhood dog, and Candy after a nickname friends used for Kylie herself when she was younger — the star went in a slightly different direction this time around.

The '22' shade was named after her lucky number, which proved lucky indeed when it sold out almost instantly.

And luckily for her fans who missed out on snapping one up of their own, the reality star is offering the chance to win one of three leftover kits on her website. There is one catch, though: Entrants must have already been subscribers to her site and app before the new lip kit sold out.

Stepping out on her own: Thus far the only person in Kylie's family, other than her grandma, to have a shade of the lipstick named after them is Khloe - but will she be the last?

Accentuate your assets in a sheer dress

Kendall Jenner took on the runway for yet another fashion show. She worked the cat walk for the Bottega Veneta's Milan Fashion Week Show.

We love the fact that Kendall can look smoking hot whether she's wearing a suit, lingerie, a big coat, or in this case a sheer navy dress.

She's the epitome of sophistication, and we love this dress she's workin', it reminds us of the Sophia Loren days.

Unfortunately, her dress isn't available just yet but you can click over to Net-a-Porter to shop the current collection.

Of course, those still desperate to get their hands on a kit immediately do have the option of turning to eBay, where quick shoppers quickly began selling the kits that they haven't even received in the mail yet.

Bidding there is up to $64 on some listings, with a few delusional sellers offering Buy It Now options for $1,000 or more.

Kylie, though, seems unconcerned with the mark-ups, with more important appointments on her schedule.

So how did the millionaire celebrate her very lucrative Tuesday afternoon? '[Lying] in bed watching 13 going on 30,' she shared with her Twitter followers.
