She also made a thinly-veiled swipe at the Republican establishment's failure to rally behind Trump, as well as speaking about Hillary Clinton.

An amateur dancer who became an internet celebrity after starring in a rap video as the 'Blue Fairy' of prescription pill addiction has been found dead from an apparent drug overdose. Sharissa Turk, 25, who was eight months pregnant, was discovered unresponsive with no visible signs of trauma in her home on Jefferson Boulevard in Staten Island just before 3pm on Tuesday, according to police. Turk's boyfriend reportedly found her lying in the hallway and called 911.

Manfred Fritz Bajorat, 59, who was found dead on his yacht off the coast of the southern Philippines last Friday, died from a heart attack just one week before his mummified corpse (right) was discovered, an autopsy has revealed. The veteran seaman was found dead on his 40-foot long vessel by two fishermen last Friday, with his mummified body discovered hunched over a table in the yacht's main cabin. It was not known at the time how he died, but police confirmed today that an autopsy had revealed he suffered a heart attack about seven days prior to his body being discovered. Mr Bajorat (inset) left his native Germany two decades ago and spent the last 20 years of his life sailing around the world having lost his long-time wife Claudia (inset left) several years ago.

Three high schoolers and one middle schooler have been accused of causing a fire that destroyed Payette High School principal Mark Heleker's home and three cars parked in the driveway on February 22. Heleker; his wife Lorrie, a teacher; their 24-year-old daughter Katie Erwin and the family pets escaped the fire, which started in a trash can outside the garage. Heleker says he knows the older boys but not the younger student. All of the students are under 18 and have not been publicly identified.

Bowie passed away from a secret battle with cancer on January 10. John Thomas, 28, (left) was scolded by Judge Gregory Lasak on Wednesday in a New York courtroom as he was sentenced to 55 years to life for shooting and wounding Sergeant Craig Bier (right) in 2012. 'Who are you to take a gun and try to kill a New York City police officer? This is a severe sentence you're going to get,' Lasak told Thomas as Bier in a courtroom filled with more than 50 fellow cops. 'I don't think you'll ever set foot outside state prison before you die.' Thomas, who had 11 prior arrests, was convicted on attempted murder charges after firing four shots at Bier, striking him twice in the legs during a foot chase in August 2012. During Thomas' sentencing, Bier had the opportunity to confront the gunman as he delivered his victim impact statement. He told Thomas: 'You're an idiot, because it was a bad decision. And you're a menace, not just to myself and my brothers and sisters in blue, but to everyone on the street.'

Nasa astronaut Scott Kelly and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Kornienko returned to Earth yesterday after a historic 340-day mission aboard the International Space Station. They landed in Kazakhstan at 11:26 p.m. EST. In an interview before heading home to Houston, Kelly said it was 'amazing' to feel the cold air when the hatch of his Soyuz capsule popped open after touchdown. 'I don't mean to say it's not fresh on the space station,' he said, 'but there's nothing like new cold air coming into the capsule.' He added that the burning smell of the capsule (pictured right) as it was coming down surprised him. 'The actual burning smell of the capsule is odd,' he said. 'It smells a little bit like a fragrance. I thought it was vegetation initially.'

Two people who were among one of the first groups to bring aid to several remote island villages after Fiji was ravaged by Cyclone Winston have described the harrowing scenes they were met with five days after the category five storm hit. John Philp, 47, and his niece Michelle own an 800 acre coconut farm on the island of Vanuabalavu, in the Lau Group, east of Fiji, which was completely destroyed - along with their staff's living quarters - when the cyclone tore through the island nation on February 20. 'You know when you see photos in Siberia where they are testing atomic bombs, it looked like that - the cyclone laid waste to the whole countryside,' Mr Philp told Daily Mail Australia.

Craig Lear of Lakeland, Florida said he went to let his family's cats out on the patio on Tuesday when he saw bubbles coming to the surface of the pool before spotting a 300-lb male alligator (right). The feisty alligator came from a pond on the golf course before ripping through the netting of their patio screen (inset), according to Lear and his wife Laura. The Lears called a trapper to remove the alligator, who was caught on video wrestling with the feisty reptile as it struggled to come out of the pool (left).

Cyclists in the Adelaide Hills were stopped in their tracks yesterday as a koala climbed up the wheel of a bike in search of a refreshing drink. The five-year-old female koala has now been named 'Carolina' after one of the cyclist's partners. She was released back into the wild on Wednesday after being tagged by wildlife rescuers so they can keep an eye on her.
