James Corden gives his best Blue Steel as he sports a full body of fake tattoos in Harry Styles-inspired shoot... after hinting at bringing his children up in LA

He relocated to the US with his family last year after scooping the hosting role on The Late Late Show.

And James Corden looks as though he could be making the move entirely permanent after professing his love for the states in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal.

The 37-year-old Brit was adorned with fake tattoos for the accompanying cover shoot for the magazine - as he smouldered like never before.

James went topless for the shoot - in order to show off his plethora of painted-on inkings.

The tattoos comprised of a host of symbols and icons including butterflies, daggers, knives and anchors - traditional sailor style tattoos.

In a hilarious tweet to accompany the shoot, James admitted that the make-up in the images was inspired by his heavily-inked pal Harry Styles.

He wrote: 'Here's my interview in @WSJ it was @Harry_Styles who inspired the look!'

In early 2015, James relocated to LA with his wife Julia Carey and their two young children - son Max, four and 17-month-old daughter Carey.

The Gavin And Stacey co-creator and writer admitted in the interview that he was enjoying the sunny shores as some place to bring up his kids.

He said: 'It feels like a brilliant place to have a family.'

Despite his pleasant surprise at life stateside, James insists he wants his children to grow up aware of life outside the 'bubble' and that not everybody grows up with a pool in their garden.

On taking the job, he revealed he agonised for a long time, saying: 'I thought, I love the variety of my career. I went back and forth on it. I just wasn’t quite sure what was the right thing to do.'

Whilst filming a BBC movie in South Africa away from his family, he began to rethink: 'I was Skyping my son on his birthday, and my wife was pregnant at the time. And I was like, this is only going to get harder.

'Here's someone offering me a job—[and] all I really want is to feel creative every day. And I realized it doesn't come around again. CBS doesn't go: "Let's go back to the guy who passed."'

However after he took the job, his stint on the show has been hugely successful and although he was reluctant to take the job he insists: 'In many respects, it’s the dream job for me.'

And while he was asked if he felt the show played on his weakness: 'I don’t know if it’s playing to my strengths. It’s more like ignoring my weaknesses.'

Before his move, he was more reluctant, telling The Sun: 'There are many people mystified that I've been offered this job, but none more than me, believe me. It's terrifying.

'It's daunting...if someone told me a few years ago that an opportunity like this would be presented to me, I wouldn't have been able to comprehend it.'
