'I know people are always interested in that. I get that,' Caitlyn said when asked about her admission that she plans to have relationships with men.

'For me, it is probably less of an issue than it is for everybody else. Right now, I am just so busy kind of doing what I'm doing, but it would be nice to kind of share your life with somebody.'

She added: 'I honestly don't know where that's going. But hey, I'm open, you know. I'm open.'

In a recently released preview clip for her docu-series, Caitlyn said: 'To be honest, if I was in a relationship with a guy, I would enjoy being treated like that.

'Opening doors for you, doing all what you would think is the traditional stuff in a guy and a girl relationship. It would have to be a very special guy to be able to do that, but yeah, I would be open to that.'

She has also admitted during a trailer for the show that she doesn't see herself 'dating women in the future'.

Caitlyn, who was born Bruce, has three ex-wives: Chrystie Crownover, Linda Thompson and Kris Jenner.

She has fathered six children and is also stepparent to Kris' four children with late husband Robert Kardashian; Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob.

And Kris recently admitted during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she found it 'confusing for sure' that her ex planned to date men from now on.

While she may not be ready for a relationship just yet, Caitlyn said that she is in a great place in her life, telling Today's Natalie Morales: 'I woke up the other morning and I thought to myself, “It has been so long in my life when I woke up happy.”'

It has been almost a year since the reality star revealed her true identity, and over the past nine months she has received a lot of criticism - even from people within the transgender community.

But Caitlyn defended the fact that she has been able to transition with the help of the best surgeons and therapists that money can buy.

'Most trans people can deal with their issues in private,' the Olympic gold medallist explained. 'Mine was being publicly displayed all around the world.'

Caitlyn says she has received more flack for her political views than for her gender transition, and she revealed on the Today show that her support of the Republican party caused some heated debates when she travelled across the country on a bus with her I Am Cait co-stars.

'The politics was tough on the bus,' she confessed. 'I sit on the Republican side, and when we do get a candidate, I certainly will talk to them.'

However Cait added: 'I admit that the Democrats, as far as trans issues, are better than the Republicans.'

I Am Cait's second season kicks off on March 6 on E!.
