Mischa Barton 'to appear on season 22 of Dancing With The Stars'... along with Jodie Sweetin and GMA meteorologist Ginger Zee

The newest cast member to join ABC's Dancing With The Stars is former star of The O.C. Mischa Barton.

The actress, 30, is set to take part in season 22 of the ABC reality show and competition, according to Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday.

It marks a return to the limelight for Barton who's struggled to find mainstream success since starring as Marissa Cooper on the Fox series from 2003 to 2007.

Also confirmed for DWTS is Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee, ET said.

Zee, 35, will be paired with dance pro Val Chmerkovskiy, while Barton will dance with Artem Chigvintsev.

Also on Wednesday, Full House star Jodie Sweetin confirmed she, too, will be part of the dance competition.

The actress is back in the headlines after reprising her role in the sitcom for the Netflix reboot Fuller House, that began streaming this week.

Sweetin revealed on GMA that she has previously turned down an invitation to DWTS but this time her love of dancing won out. 

 'I've always loved to dance, and Stephanie was a dancer on the show, and I danced growing up. I have some experience. I have some rhythm,' she said.

Pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Val Chmerkovskiy have appeared on Fuller House but Sweetin will be paired with Keo Motsepe on the contest that debuts on March 16.

The full list of celebrities will be unveiled during Good Morning America on ABC on March 8.
