Arsenal suffered a further blow in their Premier League title ambitions as goalkeeper Petr Cech sustained a calf injury while running back into his own half after attacking a corner.
Cech joined outfield players for the set-piece with the Gunners 2-1 down against Swansea in the final minute of stoppage time and after the ball was cleared by the visitors, he pulled up in discomfort and will miss Saturday’s north London derby.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger admitted Cech had been struggling with the muscle issue and it means David Ospina is likely to come in for his first league start of the season.

It comes as centre back Laurent Koscielny missed the defeat with a slight calf injury and is also a doubt for the crunch meeting with rivals Spurs at White Hart Lane.
Wenger said of Cech: ‘He had a little groin problem and I think he struggled a bit tonight. He will not play on Saturday. I trust completely Ospina, I have no problem with that.
‘I don’t know how bad it is. It’s a muscle problem, I don’t know how long he will be out.’
The injury news compounded a bad night for Arsenal as they failed to capitalise on title rivals Leicester, Tottenham and Manchester City all dropped points.
Despite taking the lead through Joel Campbell after 15 minutes, Arsenal were caught cold by Swansea, who scored through Wayne Routledge and Ashley Williams to ease their relegation worries.
It left Arsenal, who have lost their last three games in all competitions, six points behind leaders Leicester and three behind Spurs ahead of Saturday’s encounter.
