Subway pedophile Jared Fogle 'gains 30 pounds' after just three months behind bars 'by eating cake for breakfast and entire boxes of Honey Buns in one sitting'

At the rate he's going, Jared Fogle won't be able to fit through his jail cell by the time he's finished his 16-year prison sentence.  

Jailhouse insiders have told In Touch magazine that the former Subway pitchman has gained about 30 pounds since entering prison just three months ago after pleading guilty to charges of child pornography and having sex with underage prostitutes.  

The prison source, who was recently released from Colorado's Federal Correctional Institution - Englewood tells the magazine that Jared has been binging on sweets in the dining hall and commissary.

'He's really started packing on the pounds again, probably from depression,' the source said. 

'Jared's breakfast is usually Frosted Flakes with fruit or oatmeal with cake. 

'He loves "cake day" in the dining hall twice a week and he buys Honey Buns by the box, as well as other pastries, in the commissary on his weekly shopping day. He's been known to eat an entire box of eight at one sitting!'

The 38-year-old has also reportedly become a target for abuse both verbal and physical.

'One of the men called Jared a "dirty child rapist" and told him to "get the f*** out" and not come back,' the former inmate revealed. 

Apparently Fogle made the mistake to defend himself, and ended up getting a slap across the cheeks. 

'Jared just stood there stunned, then ran out of the gym,' while inmates booed, the source said.  

'He never ratted out the inmates who did it, though, because he was threatened that if he did, they would get him!' 

Fogle famously became a spokesman for Subway when he lost 200 pounds on a diet of the fast-food chain's sandwiches in the late 1990s. 

His squeaky-clean image came crashing down last summer though when federal agents raided his home and found child pornography. 

He admitted to possessing it and then took a plea deal, agreeing to serve a 16-year prison sentence.
