Despite falling to defeat at Upton Park on Wednesday night, Harry Kane believes that Tottenham can respond in the best possible way - by beating Arsenal on Saturday.

A first-half header from Michail Antonio consigned Spurs to their first away defeat since the opening day of the season, but Kane believes the north London side are well capable of mounting a positive response.

The 1-0 defeat by West Ham was only the fourth of the season for Mauricio Pochettino's side and saw them lose ground on Premier League leaders Leicester City.

Speaking in the Evening Standard the striker said: 'It's tough but we're probably one of the fittest teams in the League so if anyone can cope with it, we can.

'We're a fit squad and we've got plenty of energy.

'We can definitely beat Arsenal. We feel we can beat any team in the League so we just have to put in a better performance than the one against West Ham. We're confident.'
