Rosie Huntington-Whiteley walks the Balmain runway during Paris Fashion Week

She's known for being a beautiful, leggy blonde.

But Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was a sizzling, smoking hot brunette as she sashayed down the runway at the star-studded Balmain Autumn/Winter 2016 show during Paris Fashion Week on Thursday afternoon.

The 28-year-old showed that she's got the ability to pull off any look as she joined other high profile models rocking completely opposite hairstyles for the fashion label's latest showcase, held at the city's Hôtel Potocki.

Clearly wearing a wig over her long blonde bob, she had a centre parted long, wavy style tumbling down her shoulders in a rich, dark brown shade.

As well as her hair being one of the most eye-catching elements to her sexy strut down the catwalk, Rosie looked beyond gorgeous in Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing's sharp new designs.

Her slim, willowy physique was ideal for the fitted and very ostentatious clothing, which comprised of a long tunic-style top with plenty of decoration to keep onlookers' eyes busy.

Tailored to within an inch of its life, the snug garment - complete with black and white stripes and glittery gold swirl detailing - clung to Rosie's whittled waistline and shapely hips with ease.

It also had a tasselled skirt at the bottom, and sheer striped sleeves, hinting that this could be a perfect evening-wear choice for fashion fans.

The Marks & Spencer model also showed off her stunning and seemingly endless pins as she donned a pair of thick black tights and chunky heeled shoes.

The Balmain show at PFW was a star studded event both on and off the runway that attracted the likes of Kris Jenner, Kelly Rowland, Kanye West and Olivia Palermo.

So designer Olivier Rousteing pulled out all the stops for his Fall 2016 collection. There were lace-up frocks and lace pants, ruffled tops and beaded numbers. And then there was this striped dress that Rosie Huntington-Whitely donned.

The ornate black and gold mini featured a high neckline and long sleeves and it was trimmed in tasseled fringe. Intricate embroidery adorned the bodice and sleeves adding an opulent vibe to the whole look. Sadly you'll have to wait until Autumn to get your hands on this beauty. And, to complement her striking new locks, her make-up was pink and peachy, her defined cheekbones contoured with expert precision.

Earlier in the day, she had arrived for her turn on the catwalk with her usual locks on show - clad in a flattering off-duty black ensemble, her blonde hair flowing in a poker straight style around her face.

It was certainly a far cry from Rosie's usual appearance, but she wasn't the only famous face on Balmain's runway to have undergone a dramatic makeover for the glitzy runway event.

Leading the way were Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, but they had seemingly done a complete hair swap, with the usually raven-haired Kendall in a blonde wig, and vice versa for Gigi.

Brazilian beauty Alessanda Ambrosio also had a long blonde wig, and Karlie Kloss' hair - while usually blonde - was a brighter shade and longer in length.

The looks of the runway included a dazzling combination of pale, pastel shades in slick, crisp designs with pronounced silhouettes - the models with tiny cinched-in waistlines and ample hips - and glizy numbers more typical of Balmain offerings from seasons passed.

The colour palette for autumn/winter 2016 featured candyfloss pinks, metallic blue, classic black, muted grey and iridescent blue with a combination of textures.

Meanwhile, for her stint in the PFW show, Rosie had notably removed her engagement ring from new fiance Jason Statham.

The smitten pair - who have been an item for five years - confirmed their engagement back in January, as Rosie flashed her impressive diamond ring on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
