Noomi recently opened up about playing strong heroines on the big screen and going against the grain of the typical Hollywood starlet.

She told TheLocal.se: 'I've been so lucky with the roles I’ve been offered. 'They’re all really cool characters. They’re never been the girlfriend or the sweet girl.

'I do think the film industry is changing when it comes to gender bias and gender norms, but I’m also very much my own engine.'

Noomi has a host of films in the pipeline including What Happened to Monday? opposite Willem Dafoe and Sir Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant.
