Disney Channel has announced a nationwide casting call for High School Musical 4.
Just weeks after the franchise celebrated its 10-year anniversary, the popular trilogy will feature an entire new cast.
But the fresh faces will have big shoes to fill as the teen musical skyrocketed Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens into stardom.

The next installment of the fiercely beloved cult classics will follow-up to where the third feature film, Senior Year concluded in 2008.
Fans bid a sad farewell to stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and others for the first and only Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) theatrical sequel.
Disney Channels Worldwide President Gary Marsh - who has teased the possible return of the franchise in the past - made the official announcement.
Success! Upon its release in January 2006, High School Musical became the most successful film that Disney Channel Original Movies ever produced with 7.7 million viewers

'High School Musical is part of Disney Channel’s DNA,' he explained. 'It embodies all that we stand for.'
'As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we’re excited to announce the start of something new.'
He added: 'We launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the High School Musical franchise.'

Love is at odds between Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens), a shy transfer student who excels in mathematics and science.
Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, divide the school.
Despite other students' attempts to destroy their dreams, Troy and Gabriella resist peer pressure and try to inspire others along the way not to follow others influences.

In January HSM's costars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman reunited to reminisce about their time on the smash TV movie as they taped the anniversary broadcast special.
The cast was obviously excited to be reunited as they shared their photos from the Wildcats 'gym' on Twitter and sat down to share their fond memories of filming.
