Chris wears the retro inspired ghost busters uniform, a khaki and red jumpsuit undone at the chest and tied around his waist.

His blonde hair is styled in a neat side part and he looks dapper and clean cut with no facial hair and a pair of glasses.

The bulging biceps of the 32-year-old action star are on display adding some eye candy to the otherwise female dominated cast.

He makes a brief appearance in the two-and-a-half minute trailer for the film, and shows he's still got some muscle as he kicks down a door and struts into the room.

Many details of the film have been left a mystery, although a picture released from the set in August last year shows Chris' role might be more than just as a secretary.

Images released from the set show the actor seated behind a desk flaunting his clean cut look and stylish specs, a very different role than audiences are used to.

The new Ghostbusters is directed by Paul Feig, who also assumed the helm of Bridesmaids, Spy and The Heat among other hits.

It's been a busy few months for the Aussie star who has started to beef up again to step back into his role as Thor.

Over the summer he enjoyed time off and relaxed with family in his native Australia before a big year of filming for his upcoming roles.

Ghostbusters is set for release in cinemas in the US and UK on July 15.
