SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: Jagger's girl mourns 'love of my life' Daisy

Just days before her mother Jerry Hall weds Rupert Murdoch, model Georgia May Jagger reveals she is in mourning.

The 24-year-old model daughter of Sir Mick has announced that her beloved papillon spaniel, Daisy, has died.

'My best friend and the love of my life Daisy dinkle passed away in my arms outside the emergency vet,' she says.

'The loss I feel is huge. But I know we shared 13 years of love together. I can't begin to thank her enough for all the times she's helped me.

'The love is never gone and she is certainly with me everywhere I go.'

At least it means her London home, which she shares with boyfriend Josh Ludlow, now has room for a new bundle of joy.

Royal portrait artist Jonathan Yeo reveals he talked himself out of painting the Duchess of Cambridge's children. 'I happened to be sitting next to Kate and we got talking child portraiture,' he says. 'She started asking about kids' portraits and when the best time to do them was. I said it was best to leave it awhile until they were teenagers. My wife was kicking me and making faces. Only later did I realise I might have been talking myself out of an interesting commission.'

It's been two years since the Earl and Countess of Wessex enjoyed a jaunt to Jamaica on official business, so the hardworking minor royals are clearly due some R&R.

Edward and Sophie Wessex set off yesterday on a six-day tour of the Bahamas, Florida and the Cayman Islands to promote the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Since engagements are official, I'm sure the Wessexes will eschew the private jet they chartered for their private family skiing holiday last year.

Still, this week's West Indies trip is perfectly timed for clement weather. Life's a beach when one's not paying.

Wintour changes her spots

American Vogue editor-in- chief Anna Wintour cut a sartorial dash at the Paris fashion shows this week.

Within hours of arriving at Charles de Gaulle airport, where she sported a leopard-print coat, she had changed into a snakeskin outfit as she attended her first show for the label Jacquemus.

Given her annual clothing allowance is £130,000, it’s not so surprising.

‘Just because you happen to enjoy dressing well doesn’t mean you’re an idiot,’ she once said.
