She showed off her feminine figure at the Oscars just days earlier.

But Julianne Moore opted to wrap up warm when she was spotted out and about in New York City on Tuesday.

The 55-year-old actress drowned her slim frame in an ill-fitting ensemble which included an oversized coat and accessories.

The Oscar winner was spotted in an unshapely knee-length camel jacket that failed to show off her petite figure.

She opted to wear a pair of denim jeans which would have been flattering but the Still Alice star added an unattractive twist as she unevenly cuffed the bottoms.

Julianne accessorized her baggy wardrobe with a cream-coloured scarf wrapped around her neck and charcoal grey knit fingerless gloves.

The Hunger Games actress carried a large black leather boho handbag while chatting on her cell phone.

She went make-up free and kept concealed behind dark aviator shades as she made her way through the streets of the Big Apple.

Her final fashion faux pas was the white leather sneakers she wore which were paired with black peds.

But the mother-of-two clearly has a sense of style as she proved on Sunday when she stunned on the red carpet at the 2016 Academy Awards.

She wore a look straight from the spring/summer 2016 Chanel Haute Couture Collection runway in a solid skirt, floor-length hem and Chopard jewels.

This time last year Moore won an Oscar for her portrayal of a linguistic professor diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease in Still Alice.

However, such is the fickle nature of Hollywood that this year she's nominated for a Razzie award for Seventh Son.

Julianne will next appear in George Clooney's Suburbicon, a 1950s crime drama written by Joel and Ethan Coen, which also stars Matt Damon and Josh Brolin.
