What break up? Millie Mackintosh looks exquisite in lace as she returns to the red carpet in style after Professor Green separation

She stayed faithful red carpet while she was battling the breakdown of her marriage and Millie Mackintosh was back on it, after she confirmed it, too.

The 26-year-old made her triumphant return via Qatar Airways Sydney Gala Dinner at Dockside Pavilion on Wednesday night, 10 days after news broke.

Millie, who has split from Professor Green after two years of marriage, looked exquisite in lace as she broke for her therapeutic break in Australia to make a public appearance.

The reality TV star cut an elegant figure with her hair up and a ladylike full-length dress skimming over her shape.

Millie's semi-sheer dress, adorned with pretty black and white blooms, had pockets at the side so that she could highlight her cool, laidback demeanor.

Heartbreak appeared to be the furthest thing from Millie's mind when she stepped out, smiling for the cameras, all dressed up in her glamorous garbs. 

Millie has only attended Fashion Week shows in London since the announcement of her single status but in a similar style, she proved that the show will go on, without the ring.

'Feeling glam on my way to the #sydneytogether #qatarairways gala,' she wrote from the car in a sponsored post.

Millie announced that she'd jetted away Down Under in style on Tuesday, tagging the airline again as she reclined in a plush lounge.

In a tongue-in-cheek nod to her travelling status, she sported a T-shirt which was emblazoned with the words: 'Upgrade please' - also a perhaps a subtle plea about her relationship status. 

Putting distance between herself and her problems, as well as physical distance between herself and her ex-husband, Millie seems to be recovering a girls' getaway.

And it's doing wonders because the former Made In Chelsea star was looking relaxed and happy in a bikini-clad holiday photo that afternoon.

No doubt looking at a stunning Australian sunset, Millie wrote 'Rose and chill,' as she was seen resting one hand on her hip and using the other to prop up her head as she lay out on one side with a glass of wine.

Using her incredible break-up body as the ultimate ammunition, Millie served up a subtle reminder of what her husband was missing when she snapped herself in a tiny two piece. 

Fitness buff Millie has been honing her figure all year, and she now has a golden glow to add to her envy-inducing image.

Meanwhile, the brunette's 'Sydney sunshine kisses' in a second Instagram snap were coming from her holiday companion on Wednesday, as she turned to her gal pals for support during the split.  

She has been hanging out, and even partying, with lifestyle blogger Lara Fraser while escaping her marriage woes. 

Millie's reluctance to slow down and start a family with her husband was said to be one of the key factors in the breakdown of their 2013 marriage.

The rapper, 32 - real name Stephen Manderson - was reportedly keen to have children in the near future, which caused 'crazy, explosive rows' with the reality star who wasn't ready to become a mother.

A source close to the couple told The Sun newspaper last week: 'Kids became a big problem. Millie didn't want them any time soon and he did. 

'It's really sad for Stephen because he's a lovely and sensitive guy who will make a great dad one day. They loved each other but would have these crazy explosive rows.' 

In a joint statement, the couple - who have been married for two and a half years - said: 'It is with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation. It is a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well.'

Meanwhile a source added of their relationship: 'It’s extremely sad that Millie and Stephen have decided to part ways.

'But they have managed to remain on the best of terms throughout their split and they are hopeful they will continue to do so.'

Although they have revealed their split, neither has yet filed for divorce. 

The couple married in 2013 at Babington House, Somerset, in a celebration attended by Lily Allen and other Made In Chelsea stars.
