Her song Spinning Around became a classic hit around the world and Kylie Minogue practised what she preached as she enjoyed a little twirl during a boat ride on Thursday.

The Australian songstress, 47, took to her social media sites to share picturesque snaps of her pink Cristahlea gown ahead of her performance at the Qatar Airways Gala in Sydney.

Preened to perfection, she oozed elegance in a beautiful pink metallic number with layered detail as she made her way along the scenic harbour on her luxury yacht.

Her golden-tinted tresses were worn in tousled waves, while delicate diamond earrings and flawlessly applied makeup rounded off the proceedings.

She captioned the image: ‘Dancing on board in Sydney Harbour. Thanks to the boat crew for taking care of us!’

Earlier in the day, Kylie posed up a storm in an eye-catching nude dress with a colourful and jewelled encrusted overlay, shot against the background of the city’s iconic Opera House.

'Excited to do a show tonight in Sydney,’ she gushed. ‘Always a thrill to be on beautiful Sydney Harbour.’

The songstress’ visit to her native comes two weeks after she confirmed her engagement to boyfriend of six months, Joshua.

Her 28-year-old beau appeared to confirm the happy news after referring to the singer as his 'fiancée' at the NME Awards afterparty, where Kylie proudly flaunted a huge diamond ring.

Three days later, Daily Telegraph UK officially announced the news in the marriages section, which read ‘Mr J.S. von Sasse and Miss K.A. Minogue.

‘The engagement is announced between Joshua, so of the late Dominic Sasse and of Mary Heale (nee Macauley), of Herefordshire and Kylie, eldest daughter of Ronald and Carol Minogue, of Melborne, Australia.’

Last week, Kylie also posted a throwback picture of herself when she was much younger, writing about lucky she was feeling to be celebrating her cancer-free milestone.

The star wrote: 'Today marks my official 10 year 'all clear' from breast cancer. 

'Naturally, my nearest and dearest were at the forefront of my mind. Behind the tears were relief and thanks and thoughts.

'Thoughts of all those who are making their way towards this landmark, those who are past the landmark and of those who we sadly miss. Thank you just doesn't say enough’
