She helped raise a staggering £1.41million for Save The Children UK last year.

And Helena Bonham Carter was doing her bit for the charity once again as she helped host the charity's star-studded Night Of Motown gala at London's Roundhouse on Thursday evening.

The 49-year-old actress went all out for the occasion, stepping back in time to embrace the 60s theme in a vintage frock and curly hairdo.

Helena was the belle of the ball in her quirky, graphic print dress, featuring an asymmetric neckline and faux mesh panels, giving the illusion of a sheer finish.

The Harry Potter actress added a glamorous touch thanks to a purple sparkly clutch bag and silver hoop earrings.

The star set off her ensemble with a liberal amount of sparkling eye shadow and styled her hair in a tight halo of curls.

Helena mingled with a host of celebrities including presenter Myleene Klass and singer Mollie King.

Joined by Sir Alan Parker, Helena was hosting the fundraising event for the fifth year in a row, where an eclectic mix of world-renowned musicians perform to help save children’s lives

Following on from A Night of Disco, A Night of Reggae, A Night of Funk & Soul and A Night of Blues, the Motown theme was sure to get lucky ticket-holders on the dancefloor, all in the name of a good cause.

Guests danced to everything from classic Motown tunes to soulful sons by modern artists who have been influenced by the genre, and were also invited to partake in a live auction.

Meanwhile, Helena recently discussed her fears about the passing of and her children Billy, 12, and Nell, eight, getting older.

Quizzed about how she feels about turning 50 this year, the actress told Red magazine: 'We're getting dilapidated, but you can't control that, so why worry?

'I'm more conscious of the kids’ childhood going, because that goes so fast, it's a bit like watching one of those time lapses. There's no pressing pause.
