Iman, 60, has made no public comment about the loss of her husband, who she married in 1992, but posted a number of messages in the days before and after his death.

She shared an image on Twitter saying, 'The struggle is real, but so is God,' along with the caption 'Rise', on the day of he died.

To mark his birthday on January 8, she wrote: 'I will love you til i die, i will see you in the sky #tonight happy birthday mr. bowie,' next to a photograph of her husband with Tina Turner. [sic].

'Happy Birthday to the man who fell to earth. Forever Bowie,' read another.

Iman has continued to share inspiring images on her Instagram and Twitter, letting the quotes tell the story as she continues to mourn her husband of more than 20 years.

'Pray hardest when it is hardest to pray,' read one image posted on Instagram.

'Each tear is a poet, a healer, a teacher,' said another.

Iman has also reposted a number of pictures promoting a photography exhibit honoring Bowie, titled 'Starman Remembered', opening at the Taschen Gallery in Los Angeles later this month.

She also personally took to her Instagram to thank Bowie's friend Gary Oldman, who paid tribute to the superstar musician at the Brit Awards last month.

Iman shared a photo that included both men's photographs and told Gary, 'We love you', before including part of his speech dedicated to Bowie.

'David faced his illness with enormous courage, dignity, grace and customary humor,' Oldman said during the February 24 ceremony.

'You were mortal, but your potential was superhuman, and your remarkable music is living on. We love you, and we thank you.'

Iman also retweeted Lorde's tribute to Bowie, who called her 'the future of music', at the ceremony, where she sang a cover of Life On Mars? and was given a standing ovation.

Less than a week after his death, Bowie debuted on the American music charts for the first time ever with his final album Blackstar.

He continues to be remembered in a number of tributes, including at the Academy Awards last week and with a performance by Lady Gaga at the Grammys.

The Berlin International Film festival commemorated Bowie by showing Nicolas Roeg's The Man Who Fell To Earth, which was the musician's first starring role on screen.

Meanwhile, Iman's longtime friend Bethann Hardison told PEOPLE in January that the supermodel is doing her best to stay strong, saying: 'She's fine. We're fine. We're holding up.

'It comes in waves, you know. He's a great loss – not just a loss as an artist, but as a human.'

Simon then asked him, ‘But as a musician?’

‘Nothing else matters,’ said David.

Before his marriage to Iman, Bowie was married to Angie Barnett from 1970 to 1980, with their son Duncan, originally known as Zowie Bowie, born in 1971.

Duncan Jones is now a successful film director whose works include 2009's Moon and Source Code, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, from 2011.

David's producer, Tony Visconti suggested that Bowie knew for a year that his cancer was incurable, and added that his final album Blackstar - recorded in early 2015, after the singer's diagnosis - was 'a parting gift' to the world.

The iconic rock star has left about half of his $100million fortune - as well as a Manhattan apartment - to Iman.

Page Six reported that Bowie, whose birth name is David Robert Jones, signed the will - which consists of 20 pages - on August 25, 2004.

Bowie instructed that his widow receive income from her share four times a year, through two of his lawyers, the report said. Bowie and Iman were married for 23 years.

Most of the remaining money will be split between the couple's 15-year-old daughter, Alexandria 'Lexi' Zahra Jones, and Duncan.

Duncan will be given approximately $25million directly, while Lexi can claim her money at age 25, Page Six reported. On top of the money, Lexi is inheriting an Ulster County, New York, residence.

Marion Skene, Duncan's former nanny, was left $1million, with Bowie's personal assistant Corinne Coco Schwab receiving $2million, Page Six reported.

Via Page Six, Bowie said in the will: 'I direct that my executors shall arrange for my remains to be taken to the country of Bali and to be cremated there in accordance with the Buddhist rituals of Bali.

'If that is not practical, then I direct that my executors shall arrange for my remains to be cremated and my ashes scattered in Bali.'

It was previously reported that the musician's body was cremated in secret.

A source told the Daily Mirror: 'In many respects you don’t need a memorial or service to remember David by... you have his music instead.

'He would have wanted to just disappear with no fuss, no big show, no fan-fare. This would totally be his style.

'His last album Blackstar was very much his goodbye to fans instead.'
