Honey Boo Boo stays by Mama June's side after she is rushed to hospital after fainting and admitting to 'extreme dieting'

June Shannon - best known as Mama June - was visited by daughter Honey Boo Boo after being rushed to hospital on Wednesday.

The reality star collapsed at her home in Georgia and was taken by her daughter Pumpkin to a local medical facility.

Mama June rested in a hospital bed as the concerned 10-year-old reality star -real name Alana Thompson - clutched her mom's hand as she stayed by her bedside.

Mama June, 36, appeared weak as she rested in a chair at the hospital, after multiple fainting spells and collapsing while walking down some stairs.

TMZ learned that Mama June had admitted that she has been dieting and had not eaten much that day.

She had complained about not feeling well and had reportedly suffered spells of vomiting.

The reality star then passed out, narrowly escaping further injury too as she had just walked down a flight of stairs.

Although she regained consciousness, she suffered further fainting spells afterwards before her daughter decided to drive her to hospital.

Mama June was kept under observation by doctors, who planned to give her a CT scan and take blood work.

The reality star recently told Inside Edition that she had shed 150lbs, but has to undergo a fat freezing procedure to address her stubborn double chin. 

'My kids joke about my turkey neck or ‘gobble gobble,' she said. 

Shannon most recently appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, where she is attempting to come to terms with her husband Mike 'Sugar Bear' Thompson's infidelity. 

Both Mama June and her daughter Pumpkin - AKA Lauryn Thompson - recently came out as bisexual.

She also claimed Sugar Bear was unfaithful on her with both men and women.
