He just attended the premiere of his latest film Knight Of Cups. 

So perhaps that is what inspired Christian Bale to carry two cups of coffee and his 18-month-old son Joseph at the same time as he enjoyed an outing in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old actor certainly had his hands full as he juggled the and his beverages as he enjoyed an outing in the posh Brentwood neighbourhood.

Christian was casually dressed in a tracksuit top, short and T-shirt as he spent some quality time with his boy in the well-heeled area, though her forewent the latter and instead wore flip flops.

Just the night before Christian had been having the time of his life showing off his wife Sibi at the premiere of his film Knight Of Cups in Los Angeles.

The notoriously grumpy Prestige beefcake was in such a playful mood at the glittering event he went as far as to cross his eyes as her gurned for the cameras.

Morgan Freeman, who starred alongside Christian in the Dark Knight trilogy, has said he does not believe Ben Affleck will be able to fill his shoes in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Speaking at the premiere, Christian told ET:'I think the trailers are looking great and I'm looking forward to that.

The Terrence Malick movie follows Christian's Hollywood screenwriter character as he prances around a Los Angeles beach in an Armani suit, attends star-studded parties and get chased around hotel rooms by scantily clad models while despairing at the futility of it all.
