The crown was not the only item the royal received, as at one point she stood up to place a red and white flower wreath around her neck.

On Tuesday, the royal showed off her sporty side at the Aspire Academy in Qatar, where she kicked about a soccer ball while in heels with aplomb.

She then donned a sophisticated watercolour print skirt and conservative black top for a night at the Doha Museum of Islamic Art with Prince Frederik on Wednesday.

While the 44-year-old looked chic and demure, covering up the majority of her skin, she still managed to inject a bit of her stylish personality into her outfit.
