The controversial design, first pioneered by Hamilton's Mercedes team, was given its inaugural outing during winter testing in Barcelona on Thursday. Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen completed two laps with the halo-shaped device, which is aimed at improving driver head protection, before his team-mate Sebastian Vettel also trialled the concept on Friday.
Mavdidi leads the way as Arsenal impress against Liverpool to reach Youth Cup semi
ARSENAL U18 2-1 LIVERPOOL U18 BY ADAM SHERGOLD AT EMIRATES STADIUM: You see it so often - a match starved of entertainment with two shot-shy teams feeling their way tentatively to goal. Then, without any warning, all hell breaks loose. That's what we had in this FA Youth Cup quarter-final, as a burst of three goals in seven second-half minutes took Arsenal through at Liverpool's expense. We were meandering along, with chances a precious commodity, until Stephy Mavididi broke the Emirates Stadium deadlock for Arsenal and released the handbrake.

Guus Hiddink admits it is difficult to put the brakes on Diego Costa with the Chelsea striker continually demanding that he plays. The Spain striker will start for Chelsea against Stoke on Saturday but Hiddink was contemplating resting Costa against Norwich in their midweek match. Instead he played the full 90 minutes and scored what turned out to be the winner, and Hiddink spoke on Friday about how he has to keep Costa on a 'leash' to protect his player.

The teenager scored four goals in his first two appearances for the club as he made an instant impression at Old Trafford.

Frozen! City stars forced indoors after blanket of snow covers training ground
Manuel Pellegrini believes 75 points will be enough to win the Premier League title this season and insists his Manchester City players 'will never give up' until it becomes mathematically impossible. Pellegrini's side have a game in hand but his prediction means that City need 28 points from their last 11 matches and can only afford one more defeat.
Ronaldo couldn't dress up as a turtle, but we are just normal lads... read MARTIN SAMUEL'S interview with title-chasing Drinkwater
There is not a player in Claudio Ranieri's squad who has not had to graft to overcome professional adversity, or is without a point to prove. Released by bigger clubs, overlooked in the lower leagues, when Leicester's players dressed ironically as superheroes for their Christmas party in Copenhagen, it somehow summed up the egoless nature of this incredible campaign.

Real receive timely boost as Bale returns to match day squad after spending lengthy spell on sidelines with calf problem
Gareth Bale will play some part in Real Madrid's meeting with Celta Vigo on Saturday after he was named in Zinedine Zidane's squad for the first time in 48 days. When he picked up his calf injury back on January 17, Real Madrid were very much in the title race but after failing to beat Malaga and Betis and losing the Madrid derby to Diego Simeone's Atletico they are now 12 points adrift of leaders Barcelona. It will take a historic turnaround for them to overturn Barcelona's lead but Zidane knows whatever happens they have to finish the season strongly and go all out for their 11th European Cup and he knows that will be easier to do with Bale in the team.

Jenas follows in Barton's footsteps to brave Question Time... so, how did he cope with debate on Trump, Merkel and more?
EDGE OF THE BOX: The days when BBC's Question Time was a somewhat dogged affair in which politicians and journalists slogged it out on a ploughed field of current affair conundrums are now well behind us. In recent times, even members of the of the footballing community have been given a run out on the programme, with both Clarke Carlisle and Joey Barton having previously gone in studs up on the topics of the week. In taking their respective places at the crescent table of discourse, both men had previous from outside of the world of football. To varying degrees, they had displayed albeit perhaps lower case 'p' political credentials, before being asked to then share them as part of the topical debate.
'Go f*** yourself': Cellino's son launches foul-mouthed tirade at Leeds fan while his brother compares woman to a whale

So here, Sportsmail asks if the Athletic Bilbao forward is about to become Spain's No 9.

Twenty years ago today, Newcastle faced Manchester United in one of the biggest games St James' Park has seen. The contrast to now could not be greater. Asher-Smith on her rise to the top: 'I work hard balancing uni, training five times a week, going through so much pain...'
How would you like a sprinting session with Dina Asher-Smith? Running with Britain's fastest woman was an opportunity Sportsmail deemed too good to miss, even when closely followed by the punchline that I would have to wear a blindfold throughout. Alongside Paralympic silver medallist Libby Clegg, Asher-Smith delivers a workshop to a group of primary school children, some with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. Then it is time to don the bright green blindfold myself and London's Lee Valley Athletics centre is plunged into darkness. With Asher-Smith as my guide we are attached at the wrist by a blue cotton tether. The idea is to mimic the environment for a visually impaired sprinter as part of a campaign to make sport more accessible for disabled children.
