Jessica Simpson is back in her Daisy Dukes as she shows off her slimmed down figure to model her new designs

Eleven years, one divorce, one wedding and two children later, Jessica Simpson is rocking her famous Daisy Dukes again.

Having shed any remnant of her baby weight, this time the mother-of-two made sure the iconic denim shorts flattered her perfectly - by designing them herself.

Taking inspiration from her 2005 remake of The Dukes of Hazzard, the actress turned clothes designer created her own version of her onscreen character's trademark pants.

She posed in her $44 Minna shorts for a picture advertising the Spring/Summer collection from her self-titled Jessica Simpson range.

Posting it to Instagram, the star wrote: 'Spring 2016! See more of the collection at jessicasimpson.com #SS16 #jessicasimpson.'

Styled with a long fringed cardigan, and her trademark head of bleached blonde wavy hair, Jessica proved her own best advertisement.

Feel the fringe in a Jessica Simpson jacket

Jessica Simpson not only has a killer vocal range but also a clothing and shoe line that has made her millions. This Daisy Duke-wearing songbird knows business and has impeccable taste to boot.

Naturally, her latest offering for her namesake line has pieces that every woman should have in her wardrobe, with a casual and slightly southwestern take.

We love her tan suede fringe jacket, it's so perfect with jeans and your favorite espadrilles or sandals.

Grab the same jacket she is wearing via the link on the right and be sure to check out the rest of her collection. As Spring approaches, it's time to dress lighter and Jessica knows a thing or two about that.

The Weight Watchers spokeswoman's slim toned figure was a testament to her commitment to getting into shape following the birth of her children Maxwell, three, and Ace, two.

Talking about her new designs, Jessica told People that she and her mother Tina styled the photoshoot themselves.

'My mom and I worked together on the styling for this shoot, and as luck would have it, a trunk from our showrooms in NY was lost in transit the day before,' she told People.

'We had to rework a few of the looks last minute and we really love how the styling turned out. It was a blessing in disguise.'

It has been ten years since Jessica tried her hand at designing clothes, and the actress' range has grown hugely in that time.

She told the magazine: 'As the collection has grown, I have learned the importance of staying true to my identity, following my own gut and fighting for the things I believe in.'
