She's one of the most striking supermodels in the world.

And Alessandra Ambrosio, 34, certainly made a statement on the catwalk for the Balmain Paris Fashion Week show on Thursday.

The Brazilian beauty showcased her newly blonde locks and her enviable shape in an intricate lace ensemble which revealed her underwear.

Alessandra strode along the runway with confidence and emanated an alluring air in the pink and black ruffled ensemble.

Her opaque pale pink collar gave way to a lace frock which ran over the top of a corseted body. A thick black panel around her midriff separated the pink of the top half of the outfit with the black of the bottom.

The model's new locks were styled in a simple middle-parting and flowed straight down over her shoulders. For many, such a drastic change could be considered high risk, but it matched Alessandra's complexion perfectly.

She was one of the top supermodels to walk in Balmain's Fall 2016 fashion show at PFW. And though she didn't open the show like Kendall Jenner, Alessandra Ambrosio made a huge impression nonetheless in a frilly pink top and sheer pants.

Her lace bottoms were featured throughout the collection which also included sexy corset tops, striped duster coats, tasseled mini dresses and plenty of opulent suede pieces. We love the ruffled trim on these high-waisted beauties as well. Too bad they won't be available until next season!

And it seems Alessandra thoroughly approved of her blonde tresses as she chose to keep her new mane when she stepped out in the French capital later that evening in yet another praiseworthy ensemble.

The catwalk pin-up looked beyond chic in a black vest top and coated black jeans, which she brought to life with a checkerboard style jacket with belted detailing that was perfect for highlighting her slender silhouette.

But Alessandra wasn't the only superstar on the catwalk to drastically alter her tresses.

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid also swapped hair colours as they took to the runway for Balmain.

Kendall, 20, rocked what appeared to be a blonde wig complete with roots, similar to the one recently worn by sister Kim Kardashian.

Gigi, also 20, looked quite different with long curled brunette hair, rather than her usual blonde, which also appeared to be a wig.

And Rosie Huntington-Whitely, 28, wore raven-coloured tresses which were a complete contrast to her usual golden locks.

The luxurious collection was admired by a star-studded front row which included Kanye West, Kris Jenner and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

On Wednesday, the Victoria's Secret Angel turned street style pin-up as she showcased her impeccable sartorial sense in between shows in the French capital.

Opting for a stylish winter ensemble, she looked worlds apart from her catwalking-queen self but no less captivating as she put on a suitably chic display in her stunning surroundings.
