Gisele shows her caring side as she speaks at the United Nations about saving the environment

Gisele showed her caring side, as she spoke at the United Nations in New York on Thursday.

The Brazilian beauty took to the podium on Wildlife Day, as part of her role as a UNEP Ambassador.

The model wore a businesslike black  suit for the engagement, which saw her join representatives from the World Bank in speaking to UN members from across the world.

'Wildlife conservation is a shared responsibility. We all have a role to play. The future of wildlife is in our hands,' the former Victoria's Secret model had tweeted to her fans earlier in the day.

Gisele has long used her fame to throw a spotlight on conservation, which is a cause close to her heart.

Despite moving to the U.S. since finding fame, she regularly travels back to her homeland where in 2008 along with her father she launched the Clean Water Project, or Projeto Água Limpa in her hometown of Horizontin. 

The mother-of-two is also a board member of The Rainforest Alliance.

When not  trying to save the world, Gisele is a busy working mother.

The 35-year-old lives in Boston with New England Patriots star Tom Brady, and their children six-year-old Benjamin, and three-year-old Vivian.

She and Tom recently celebrated their seven year anniversary, with Gisele sharing a snap of their hands.

She wrote: 'Happy 7 anniversary my love! Thank you for always being by my side. I love you!'

The two were set up on a blind date in 2006.

'I knew Tom was the one straightaway,' she told British Vogue in 2015. 'I could see it in his eyes that he was a man with integrity who believes in the same things I do.'

Then after Gisele said goodbye to the runway last year, Brady wrote on Facebook: 'I have never met someone with more of a will to succeed and determination to overcome any obstacle in the way.

'You never cease to amaze me. Nobody loves life more than you and your beauty runs much deeper than what the eye can see.'
