Take your daughter to work day: Proud mother Julia Bradbury arrives at the BBC with twin baby girls Xanthe and Zena

She welcomed twin girls Xanthe and Zena in March last year.

And Julia Bradbury showed she'd mastered the art of being a successful working mum as she took turns carrying her adorable daughters into the BBC Radio 2 studios in central London on Friday.

Beaming broadly as she held onto the girls' baby carriers, the former Countryfile presenter, 45, looked every inch the proud parent as she brought them in ahead of her appearance on Chris Evans' Breakfast Show.

Clad in a grey zebra print top and black faux fur coat, the presenter looked effortlessly chic on her outing.

Slipping her lean legs into a pair of skinny jeans, Julia seemed to have had no trouble shifting the baby weight as she displayed her lithe frame.

No doubt the star walked her way back to her pre-baby weight, as Julia - who also has a four-year-old son named Zephyr - is a keen rambler.

Speaking to The Daily Mail about her hobby, she explained: 'I like to walk on my own. With three small children and a demanding career, I have a really busy life, so I find it nourishing to be alone with my thoughts.

'I find that, if I’ve got a problem when I set out on a walk, I’ve come up with the solution by the time I’ve finished.'

She added that the process of walking also helped her make some of the biggest decisions in her life, as she revealed: 'On my solitary walks, I came to the conclusion that I needed to find some calm and give myself a chance to have the babies I so longed for.

'I gave up my job and three months later I fell pregnant with my twin girls.'

Julia was in her forties when she started a family with husband, property developer Gerard Cunningham.

She endured a difficult pregnancy for her son Zephyr, now four, and then five rounds of IVF to conceive twin daughters Xanthe and Zena, born last year.

After going through five rounds of IVF, the star finally fell pregnant with her twins, but was then forced to endure an agonising 45-minute wait between the birth of her first and second daughter in a traumatic experience that saw her lose two litres of blood.

Speaking to Hello! magazine about being a working mother in 2014, Julia said: 'My career is very much part of my make-up and who I am.

'Now I have two little girls, I feel I have a responsibility to show them they’ve got to be independent, self-sufficient, fend for themselves and forge their own path.’
