'I feel so ridiculous!' Jennifer Garner can't stop laughing as she shows off saxophone skills while playing Mary Had A Little Lamb

Jennifer Garner is a woman of many talents.

But what you might not know is that she used to play the saxophone - and she still remembers a thing or two.

The 43-year-old agreed to show off her musical skills while taking part in a recent photo shoot for Vanity Fair magazine, playing Mary Had A Little Lamb.

'My saxophone’s name was Sally The Sexy Saxophone, and I lost her, Jennifer revealed. 'How do you lose a saxophone? My mom and I marvel. Where did she go? Who has Sally?'

She added with a giggle: 'Well here’s Mary Had A Little Lamb. I can’t believe I’m going to do this. I feel so ridiculous.'

The actress almost didn't make it through the tune as she burst out laughing while playing the last few notes.

Jennifer played saxophone in high school, and was in the marching band. She has only demonstrated her musical skills on a couple of occasions since then - including a brief performance on the Donny & Marie show in 2000.

The mother-of-three attended the Academy Awards on Sunday, where she was presenting, and she looked incredible in a dramatic black gown.

It marked Jennifer's first Oscars appearance since she split from husband of 10 years Ben Affleck in June of last year.

The former couple were both at the Vanity Fair after-party later in the evening, and while they appeared to be having a frosty encounter outside the venue, they apparently got on just fine inside.

Affleck and Garner shared a friendly hug and a kiss, and at one point Garner held his lapels as she appeared to compliment his look,' a source told People.

'The two later parted ways, with Garner staying toward the back of the room with close friends Victor Garber and J.J. Abrams.

'Later, they had a nice moment where they caught up and a lot of their friends were there – and they chatted and then they left.' 

The Dallas Buyers Club star spoke about the breakdown of her marriage for the first time during her interview with Vanity Fair, and she said that his rumoured romance with their children's nanny Christine Ouzounian had nothing to do with the split.

'We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny,' she said. 'She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes.'

She added: 'It's not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives. I have had to have conversations about the meaning of "scandal."'

And far as Ben's claims that the affair never happened, Jennifer said: 'He’s still the only person who really knows the truth about things. And I’m still the only person that knows some of his truths.'

Jennifer and Ben share three children together: Violet, 10, Seraphina, seven, and three-year-old Samuel. 

Us Weekly claims that the Batman v Superman star is living in the bedroom next to his estranged wife's at their $45million Pacific Palisades mansion, contrary to reports that he was staying in the guest house.
