WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT. The kill (left), which was recorded by field guide Marten Lange, saw two buffalo running away from a lion near the Mantimahle Waterhole in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, before being pulled to the floor (top right). Dramatic footage shows passenger planes rocking from side to side as they are battered by fierce crosswinds while landing in Storm Jake
One scene shows a Flybe propeller plane coming in at a sharp angle and then bouncing on the runway as it lands in difficult weather conditions at London Stansted Airport, in Essex. Winds gusted to more than 40mph, creating nerve-wracking moments for passengers and putting pilots' skills to the test. The wild storm brought high winds to the UK and Ireland as well as snow and plunging temperatures in the north.
The incredible cave pools in France that look like they're straight from a fairytale (no wonder they've been in movies)
These illuminated pools in a French grotto look like something out of a fairytale - but can be visited if you know where to find them. According to the website, the enchanting La Grotte de St Marcel d'Ardèche was first discovered in 1836 by a hunter whose ferret has disappeared into a cavity in the cave. What captivated the early explorers was the fascinating pool formations known as gours and rimstone, that were formed by built-up minerals and calcite.

The 295ft Moonstone concept yacht, designed by a team in the Netherlands, boasts an infinity pool, hot tub, cinema, gym and spa, and storage space for a mini-submarine. The LED triangles on both sides of the hull reflect the water in sunlight and put on a light show at night. The project was inspired by moonstone, a gemstone that has a luminous sheen and allows colours of light to dance through it.
Living RIGHT on the edge: Stomach-churning pictures show Russian daredevils dangling off the country's tallest buildings... with no harnesses
Moscow-native Ivan Semenov and his friends have climbed some of the tallest buildings in Russia where they pose for nail-biting photos when they reach the top. With a list of completed climbs including Moscow's city business centre, the Victory Monument, and even One Island East Centre in Hong Kong, the gang have so far managed to avoid injury. According to Semenov though, the only times that he and his friends are ever in danger are when the pictures are taken, not on the climb itself.

This is the horrifying moment a million-dollar vessel slips out of its harness and plunges upside down into the water below. A video of the heartstopping incident begins with the expensive white vessel suspended in the air over the water by a large crane. As it slowly inches away from the water onto a huge boat, the front of the yacht starts to ominously tilt forwards in its harness...
Is this REALLY the most comfortable way to sleep on a plane? New travel pillow where you bury your face in the cushion
The Woollip pillow is inspired by portable massage chairs. It leans on a seat-back tray, supporting a passenger's head and upper body. Twenty-one-year-old business school graduate Diane Levy and her father Franck came up with the idea after a particularly uncomfortable long-haul flight together. They then worked on the concept for 18 months with a range of designers, pilots and physiotherapists to create the perfect prototype.

Some of the most stunning examples are Brahmaputra River in Tibet (left) and Joekulgilkvísl (top right) and Tungnaa River (bottom right) in Iceland.
Is this Airbnb's worst listing EVER? Rental site features a double bed in an outdoor car park in London for £8 a night
An enterprising citizen recently set up a bedroom in a car park outside of a row of garages in Peckham. The tongue-in-cheek summary describes the rental as a 'private room in a public space.' With a price that cheap in London, it is not surprising that the accommodation seems too good to be true. Despite the homely touches of a bedside table, rug and decorative vase of flowers, guests will have to brave the cold as there are no walls, a roof or heating of any kind.

Long before the days of snowboards, helmets and crowded slopes: Fascinating vintage photos reveal the glory days of ski holidays
This eye-opening collection of black-and-white photos was taken in the Canadian tourist hotspots of Banff, Jasper and Waterton Lakes national parks in the 1950s. The vintage snaps reveal just how good today's skiers have it thanks to the growth of the sport. These photos show a group taking a break near a waterfall in 1954 (top left), while another admires the stunning scenery in 1956 (top right). Spectators got dangerously close to ski jumpers (bottom right) at an event in 1959. With limited chairlifts and T-bars, skiers had to use revolutionary snowmobiles (bottom left, in 1953) or hike up the mountain (inset, 1956).
