Julianne Moore covers up in a chunky scarf and shades as she steps out with her doppelganger daughter Liv in New York

They're a close-knit mother and daughter who look strikingly similar to each other.

And Julianne Moore, 55, and Liv Freundlich, 13, stepped out for a stroll around New York's West Village on Thursday.

The actress scraped her auburn locks back into a bun and covered her eyes with black shades. She negated the wintry chill with a large cream scarf which enveloped her neck and chin.

The mother-of-two wore a knee-length black coat with a pair of jeans and some white kicks. She raised a slight smile as she sauntered along the sidewalk.

Liv walked with her hands in the pockets of her quilted black jacket which she teamed with a preppy green skirt and black Nike trainers.

Her long locks were the exact same colour as her mum's but she chose to wear hers loose and free.

Dressed down Julianne was world's apart from the glamorous display she put on Wednesday when she attended Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton's I'm With Her concert at Radio City Music Hall.

The Hannibal star looked in fine form indeed in a woollen coat, striking red dress and gladiator-style high heels.

But her perfect styling was almost undone when an unfortunate gust of wind blew her perfectly coiffed locks all over her face as she made her way to the venue.

However, she had regained her composure by the time she made it inside and took to the podium.

The tub-thumping Oscar-winner told the audience: 'Hillary has always fought for us and now it’s our turn to fight for her.'

The three hour celebration served as an endorsement from musicians such as Sir Elton John and Katy Perry, as well as actors like Jamie Foxx.
