Swiping for Mrs Right? Louis Smith 'signs up for dating app Tinder'... just one month after Lucy Mecklenburgh split

Louis Smith may delight his female following with news that he's joined Tinder.

Now a very eligible bachelor, thanks to his split last month from Lucy Mecklenburgh, the gymnast has reportedly listed himself on the dating app with hopes of meeting a new lady love.

According to The Sun newspaper, the 26-year-old has added three new pictures of himself in attempt to lure in dates.

Cambridge-born Louis has listed details that are limited to education at Arthur Mellows Village College in Peterborough and age as 26.

One of the photos is a smart, wedding snap with two fellow dapper chaps while a second is a muscly magazine shot, while a third is topless as the slick star poses with Moët & Chandon.

Louis confirmed that he and 24-year-old former Made In Chelsea star Lucy had parted ways after 14 months, at the start of February.

At the time, he reportedly celebrated his newly-single status, penning a post to his Official Facebook page that read: 'Damn it feels good to be single. Far too busy to really feel how good it feel but I'm not complaining. Ha.'

The British Olympic silver medallist hasn't been single since December 2014, when the couple went public with their relationship after friendship turned to something more.

The pair first met in August that year on gymnastics-based BBC reality show Tumble, which Louis judged and Lucy competed in.

Explaining the split last month, Louis told his Twitter fanbase: 'Yes me and Lucy have broken up!! Yes I'm ok and I'm glad she's ok as well.

He continued: 'And yes we definitely want different things. And no the reason isn't because I refused to settle down it's very different. Have a good day'

Making a dig at his recent ex, the star then accompanied the rant with a picture of Kylie Jenner and Tyga that captures him looking bored while she's consumed with her phone.

Harry Potter fanatic Louis recently hinted that he was developing an interest in other women when he shared a picture of Ginny Weasley actress Bonnie Wright to his Instagram page, in place of his one-time-love Lucy.

He simply wrote beside the smouldering portrait: 'Harry Potter fans just take a minute here....' before cheekily adding winking emojis.

And clearly enjoying living alone, Louis recently revealed that he had finished wallpapering a 'Harry Potter room' in his new Peterborough home.
