She ran out of the place at least month's Grammys hours before she was due to perform.
And on Sunday, Rihanna made her return to the Staples Center, although just as a member of the crowd this time.
The 28-year-old singer was in the house to see her beloved Los Angeles Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors.

The singer rocked an all-white ensemble for the occasion, wearing a pair of thick-soled boots, jeans, and a loose top under a heavy jacket.
She also accessorized in white with a boxy square purse, adding a touch of black with a thick choker.
Her jet black hair meanwhile was let flow loose over her shoulders.
The Barbadian even stopped for a few selfies with fans on her way into the arena.

Three weeks ago, Rihanna cancelled her scheduled performance at the 58th Grammys at the 11th hour, claiming doctors advised her not to go ahead because she was suffering from bronchitis.
Her spokesperson at the time said she was ordered to go on vocal rest for 48 hours because 'she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords.'
She had completed rehearsals earlier that day, but TMZ reported she was 'screaming and hysterical' afterwards.
