But last weekend, the rapper had another thing on the agenda: repairing homes in Georgia.

Teaming up with Habitat For Humanity, Ross spent Saturday helping volunteers restore a building for former serviceman Steve Jacobs in Fayette County, just outside Atlanta.

He also met with other people living on the complex about how their lives had changed thanks to the affordable home ownership scheme backed by former president Jimmy Carter.

'Anything that I can do, I want to do it,' he told the families on the building site.

It is hardly Ross's first venture with the project.

The singer already has Habitat For Humanity projects in Miami, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Memphis, Tennessee.

Posting a comment on Southern Crescent's Habitat For Humanity Facebook page, a spokesman said: 'We surprised our lucky group of volunteers bright and early this morning with a visit from rapper Rick Ross today at our home repair for veteran Steve Jacobs in Fayetteville!

'He's a big fan of Habitat for Humanity and passionate about his city, so we'll be collaborating real soon. We're doing big things here at SC Habitat!'

They then partner with the homeowners to pay the mortgage.

The cut the charity gets from those monthly payments help build more homes. Donations and volunteers also make the building projects possible.
