Kanye West has visited IKEA's head office in southern Sweden following rumours of a design collaboration.

The U.S. rapper-turned-fashion designer was spotted at IKEA in Almhult, south Sweden, causing mayhem, once word spread of his visit to the flatpack furniture giant.

IKEA had made the unusual move of not making Kanye's visit public, with the rap star's visit only becoming known after local fans posted pictured on social media.

Not until Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet published an article about Kanye's reported visit did the flatpack furniture giant confirm that he was at their head office in Almhult, the town in southern Sweden where IKEA was founded in the 1940s.

Company spokesman Jakob Holmstrom said that West was visiting several IKEA facilities at the head office, including its design division.

Kanye has previously been connected to designer Kate Eary, who in turn can be connected to IKEA, Aftonbladet reports.

Holmstrom would not comment on whether West and IKEA were planning a joint commercial project, saying 'time will tell.'

Meanwhile, Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian-West has come under fire for trying - and failing - to break the internet once again by posting a nude selfie on Twitter.

The mother-of-two posted a naked snap from before she fell pregnant with infant son Saint, her breasts and hips covered with black bars.

The nude image, captioned: 'When you're like I have nothing to wear LOL', did not gather the same traction as some of her previous naked stunts.

A number of celebrities and media profiles made comparatively light-hearted jokes on social media, but Mrs Kardashian-West was clearly affronted.

She went on an epic Twitter rant in the style of her husband, slamming her critics in typical Yeezy fashion.

The reality star lashed out at legendary singer Bette Midler and Hollywood actress Chloe Grace Moretz, who had both shared their disdain at her exhibitionism earlier that day.

Kim also bragged about how much money she's bagged: 'sorry I'm late to the party guys I was busy cashing my 80 million video game check & transferring 53 million into our joint account'.
