OKLAHOMA CITY—Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals is pleased to announce that a ceremony was held February 12, 2016 dedicating the federal courthouse in Oklahoma City as William J. Holloway, Jr. United States Courthouse. Judge Holloway was the longest sitting judge on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, which includes Oklahoma. Judge Holloway passed away April 25, 2014 at the age of 90.
The ceremony was held at 2:00 p.m. in the ceremonial courtroom of the newly renamed courthouse at 200 N.W. 4th Street in Oklahoma City.
The court has proposed language changes to local rule 34.1(A)(3) regarding motions to postpone oral argument. The proposed new rule is outlined below. From February 8, 2016 through March 21, 2016 the court invites comment and feedback from all interested parties on the proposed changes. Comments may be emailed to clerk@ca10.uscourts.gov.
The 2016 Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and Tenth Circuit Local Rules have been posted. Please note there are no Fed. R. App. P. changes this year. The revised and updated local rules take effect January 1, 2016. The new rules can be found below:
